Memorial Weekend Mud Bog - Held at the Clare County Fairgrounds. Call (989) 539-9011 for admission information.
 
Sunday, May 28th
Memorial Car & Bike Show & Car Cruise - 11:00am to 3:00pm, show on North Second Street, Downtown Harrison. Car Cruise around Budd Lake after the show. $20 registration, $25 day-of-show. Call (989) 539-6011 for additional information.
 

Monday, May 29th
Memorial Day Ceremony - 11:00 am at the Veterans Freedom Park, 200 W. Main St. There will be a special program that will include guest speaker; The State of Michigan-VFW POW/MIA Director,  Jim Fernandez. There will also be a reading of the names of those killed in action from Clare County; listed on the ‘Wall of Tears’, a flag folding ceremony and the traditional program from the American Legion 404 and VFW Post 1075. Immediately following the ceremony will be the visit to the Cherry Grove Cemetery, for the Memorial Day Honors and a free luncheon to be held at the American Legion Post 404 in Harrison. All are welcome! Come be a part of the real meaning of Memorial Day, remembering and honoring those who died serving this great nation.
 

Saturday, June 3rd
Veteran’s Freedom Park 5th Annual Golf Outing - 
Four Person Scramble at Tamarack Golf Course. Check in starts at 8am with Shot Gun Start at 9am. This is a fundraising event to help raise money to pay for the Veteran’s Freedom Park. All proceeds will go towards the funding of the park. All Men and Woman welcome to participate. In addition to the event holes, closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Longest Putt there will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a skins game. Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. You can register and pay online at www.veteransfreedompark.com under the events tab. Saturday, June 3rd
Budd Lake Fishing Derby - Catch & release fishing tournament on Budd Lake. Progressive largest muskie pot; cash prizes for biggest bass and largest strings; kids prizes. Registration is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event. June 15th, 16th, and 17th.
20 Lakes Antique Engine and Tractor Club Show  - Held 4 miles west of Harrison on M-61. Homemade Ice cream, kiddie train rides, blacksmith demonstrations, outdoor flea market, and antique engines and tractors. Visit 20lakesantiquetractor.org for more information.

 

August 25th and 26th
Harrison Street Fair - The Street Fair will begin on Friday at 10:00 with Arts and Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, and a Veteran's Display. At 11:00 the Old 27 Car Tour will enter town bringing over 200 classic and antique automobiles for viewing! Saturday will be an eventful day with a 5k run/walk, along wih Arts and Craft Vendors, food vendors, antique snowmobiles, Queen of Spades drawing, Veteran's Display, Service Vehicles, and more. At noon will be the annual 9&10 News vs the Clare County Sheriff Department softball game at the Harrison City Park. Live Entertainment throughout the weekend!
